"Oh my goodness did we have a blast making our belly cast!!! My husband and I and a few great friends all pitched in to make it. It was easy and fun and a great way to applaud my beautiful growing body. Working with Maggie was extraordinary and we were treated like personal friends. Our son was born in October and I had been concentrating on him when Maggie called and said she had our bowl. Christmas was coming and I had Maggie wrap it up to put under the Christmas tree. My husband knew nothing about it until he began to open it Christmas morning. I was transformed into a child myself, I could hardly hold back! When he pulled it out of the box I cried! It was magnificent and represents such a great moment of time and affection. The bowl holds great energy for us sand our son will always have a wonderful way to treasure his birth. It's a unique and individualized piece of art that our family will treasure for a lifetime. Thank you Maggie for the magic! " |

From Amy Griffith...
"I knew from the moment I saw Maggie's beautiful belly bowls, I wanted to make one. Creating our belly casting was fun and messy! I was surprised how easy it was to cast, dry and ship. My husband and I enjoyed browsing all the options for color and texture to make the bowl even more unique to us. The finished product is absolutely perfect! It is the most special and unique work of art in our house, well, besides our son! I love the peaceful tone produced from the bowl as well. Our Mama's Belly Bowl is displayed proudly in our home and hopefully someday, our son will be happy to have it in his home.
Thanks so much Maggie!" |

Best Gifts That Make a Lasting Impression
"Local sculptor Maggie Stewart was already an expert on the creation of art, but somewhere along the way she also figured out how to translate her talents into an art of creation. She came up with the idea of casting a bowl over the distended form of a pregnant woman's tummy, and her totally unique business, Mama's Belly, was, well, born. Order one, and Stewart will either cast it herself or set you up with a non-toxic plaster casting kit; after the mold is made, she'll finish the bowl in a bronze or Stone-Cast form. Every bowl is, of course, different, and -- since your newborn fits inside like it was made for her -- it makes the perfect backdrop for the cutest baby-announcement pics around."

"Gone is the time when pregnant women hid under muumuus and prayed for the day their expanding waistlines would return to normal. Increasingly women are celebrating their bulging bellies, by transforming them - kid you not - into mementos."

From Megan and Dan Carlson...
"What an amazing experience! I can't believe that my husband and I helped create a work of art!; I received the casting kit as a present from my girlfriends at my baby shower. When I got home my husband had everything ready to do our casting, including candles to make it romantic! The casting was so fun and easy to do we wished it had lasted longer! We kept taking pictures and even tried the cast on my husband! We were lost in the moment and thought the whole process was wonderful, and then we received the bowl! Our Mama's Belly bowl is beyond beautiful! The gentle, sloping curves of the bowl, the perfectly matched colors we picked, everything about it is perfect. I feel so special having participated in this unique process. To think of passing on my memories in this way to my child makes me teary eyed every time I think about it! I can't wait to do it for our next child!" |

From Diana Campbell and Pierre Aiguillette...
"Creating a Mama's Belly bowl and working with the artist, Maggie
Stewart has been a terrific experience. I can't say enough about
Maggie and how comfortable she made us feel and how helpful she was
throughout the whole process. My husband and I did the casting kit
at 32 weeks and I wound up carrying 42 weeks! I was so much bigger
at the end that I wanted to capture my true pregnant grandeur. So I
called Maggie and arranged to do another casting kit. Problem was I
went into labor 3 days later! We called Maggie totally desperate;
she dropped everything and actually came to the hospital. I was
early in the process and my midwife felt no concern, so we did a cast
between contractions! I felt so special and cared for, every one was
working at delivering my baby and Maggie was celebrating my beauty!
We were all in this amazing moment together, laughing, and crying!
This is a memory I will treasure forever! Thank you Maggie and
Mama's Belly!" |

From Erin and Bob Gray...
"My Mama's Belly bowl arrived when I came home from the hospital with my daughter. It was beyond my
expectations! The colors we picked were matched perfectly, we also
included a Chinese character, which was hand painted and presented better
than I ever expected. We called Maggie and she started taking pictures of
our son in his bowl within 3 days and they turned out perfectly. We have
so many memories of this experience; pictures, a work of art and our warm
thoughts. We are so happy we did this. My Mama's Belly bowl is
priceless!" |

From Tally and Emerson Grant...
"Mama's Belly is so important.
I feel such a special connection to my child through my bowl, I am sure
my feelings will only deepen over time until that special day when it
becomes hers. I hope Mama's Belly bowls become a tradition in our family
because it is such an amazing moment to capture and treasure. It makes me
feel very proud and powerful when I look at it and hold it. Mama's Belly
bowls are such important artwork for women, I foresee Maggie's loving
message spreading in a very empowering way. I look forward to watching it
grow!" |

From Sarah and Liam McShane...
"What a wonderful gift! I
received this from my husband as something special just for us to share.
So much of our energy and money was focused on the baby that we were
forgetting to celebrate our incredible pregnancy and our hopes for our new
family. The process of doing the kit was so artistic and different that
it woke us up to the notion of slowing down and enjoying that final month
of new experiences. This gift means so much to me and will to our son
someday too! Thanks you to my wonderful husband and to Maggie for coming
to our birthing class and sharing this wonderful idea!" |

From Debbie and Gabe Mannetti...
"The Mama's Belly casting kit was so easy to do, it took us twenty minutes and I even had a snack during the process! We shipped off the cast and two color swatches and basically forgot about it. Eight weeks later when I was exhausted with a very sick
baby, I received a special package. I unwrapped it sitting on the floor
next to my sleeping baby, and when I saw it I started to cry. There was
that moment I remember so well in physical form, before sleepless nights
and constant questioning. My husband and I were so nervous as first time
parents and we anticipated something completely different than we were
experiencing. As I watched my baby sleep and I held my bowl, I felt a
sense of surrender and total joy!" |

From Jennifer and Mario Consiglio...
"Casting my belly was such an incredible experience. Due anytime with my second child, and having missed the opportunity to cast my first pregnancy, we
were really excited. We used the home casting kit. It was so easy and
took a total of 20 minutes from start to finish. Aside from being a fun
and sexy thing to do, it was as if time had stopped and given us this
beautifully relaxing and intimate moment together. A moment of excitement
and anticipation to appreciate my gorgeous, round feminine form! Our
daughter came 2 days later! We made it! To think that she lived nestled
within this bowl of my belly is a truly wonderful thought. I can't wait
to give it to her someday...maybe when she is expecting her first!" |
